And we are off again

First stop Berlin. We have plenty on our “want to visit” list, but no concrete plans. We are turning this stop over to Jordan tomorrow to create an itinerary.

After a flight thru Frankfurt , we arrive in Berlin at 2 in the afternoon. Grab a few hours of shut eye and we are off. We meet up with Jordan at the hotel and head out for dinner.

We made contact with our friend Ann’s niece Hannah who lives in Berlin with her husband Luan, and decide to meet them for dinner. She recommends a restaurant that is about 3 miles from our hotel. We decide to walk.

These were actually right next door to each other - graffiti and then a carved door.

I can’t tell you how many times I stepped to the right to walk on the smoothest part of the sidewalk to find it is actually a bike lane! Quite a few near misses until I learned.

We met Luan and Hannah for a great dinner.

Jim had schnitzel and asparagus. (Look at how gigantic the asparagus is). Luan had schnitzel and we finished our large dinner with Apple strudel and an apple pancake dish (Kaiserschmarrn).

Jordan and I walked the 3+ miles back to our hotel in the drizzling rain. Jim hitched a ride back with Hannah and Luan and we called it a night.
