And we are off to Paris

But before leaving Brugge, Jim and I spend an hour visiting multiple chocolate shops.

Then Jordan and I visit a coffee shop (Ilove the swan the barista made in the cappuccino.

There is no way we can handle several train stations and a metro with out luggage…so we hire a driver for just a bit more money and go door to door.

Unfortunately the “door” in Paris is quite a disappointment. It is in a great location, but everything is minuscule…the elevator, the hallway and most importantly- our room. Our luggage barely fit in the room, let alone opening it. Jim said the room smelled, then he saw a mosquito and then saw a gummy bear on the floor and that sealed it. We were outta there.

He had spoken to the General Manager of the Sofitel in Amsterdam when we were there to tell him what a lovely stay we had. The manager had said if we were ever looking to stay at another Sofitel to reach out to him. So Jim placed the call and he got us 2 rooms at the completely booked Sofitel Opera House. So we moved out and into a very nice hotel - and everyone is happy - even Jordan who gets whiplash with our quick decisions.

Doesn’t look like anything spectacular- bed is way bigger and the room is 3 times the size. Bathroom is 4 times bigger than the last place, but we moved in too quick to get decent pictures

Off to dinner…

Dinner is at a bistro Ann recommended - Le Bistrot de Paris. We are starving and hot and exhausted!

Bottom left - my French onion soup - so delicious. The guys had steaks.

Time to call it a night. Jim and I walk back to our hotel while Jordan meets up with a friend from San Francisco who is also in Paris right now.

Tomorrow should be much more productive.
