Back to Rome

After breakfast we retrieve the car and head to Bari for our train back to Rome. Our shuttle back to the parking lot has clearly experienced the narrow Matera streets up close and personal.
But before we leave I will post a picture of the map of Matera.
Our hotel is the little circle at the bottom left side of the map above one of the S’s in Sasso. All the highlighting are the various steps and narrow roads to navigate thru town.
A 5 hour train ride and we are back in Rome.
Carrie and I saw the hotel during our walk in the pouring rain last week….best news about it is we are right across the street from the Hassler where we celebrated Carrie’s
birthday 18 years ago

Dinner outside for our last night in Rome. We had expected rain and are pleasantly surprised it is very balmy and warm.
