Ronda and beyond
It’s a banner day - and not just because it’s my birthday - more importantly I get to wear a dress I haven’t worn yet. It’s going to be 91 degrees in Ronda, so it calls for an unworn sundress. Doesn’t take much to get me excited.
Drive up to Ronda is about 90 minutes. It’s a windy road to the hilltop village.
At least there are warning billboards along the way.

We are let off at one end of the main road and are given a map to the highlights of Ronda.
First stop - views of the valleys
Next stop - the bullring.

no way am I going up those stairs!
On to the famous Ronda bridge and gulch. I read that you didn’t need to hike down to the bridge, everything you needed to see could be viewed from above. That was welcome news.

We spend a couple of hours going thru town and then meet back up with the driver. He has recommended we go to Setenil de las Bodegas, so off we go. It’s about a 30 minute drive to this mountain top city. Once again he lets us off, but this is not such a straight path, it winds around a mountain and we were supposed to climb to the top for spectacular views.
It didn’t happen. But we did climb,
Here we are climbing a pretty steep ramp, but every turn it just kept going higher with no end in sight. After about 20 minutes of climbing we cut our losses and returned to the car.

Back to the hotel to cool down.
Jordan brought his Monopoly cards so he tried to teach us how to play. I’m not sure we really got the total hang of it yet, but we’ll try again tomorrow.
Here was my favorite card.

A walk along the beach to dinner in the Greek restaurant (again).

And the night ends.

Tomorrow is our last day…and no more adventures planned. We’ll see what the day brings.

The birthday card was perfect! Are you going to share the 2 mil? 😘🎂🎉
